Yufengyuan Restaurant

Xiaobo Ye

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Yufengyuan Restaurant by Xiaobo Ye Yufengyuan is a restaurant interior covering 1100 square meters. The design refers to the culture of the Yellow River. A passage of 50 meters follows the line of the river through the space. Eight metal boxes of different heights are placed along the passage. Each box seats one family and is named after a small creature, such as a butterfly, a frog or a bee. The finish of each box follows the character of the creature. All boxes are raised, so entering a box becomes a moment of ritual. The main materials are terrazzo, steel plate, bamboo and latex paint.
