Velo Solex Revival Electric Bicycle

Brian Kenneth Høhl

Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Velo Solex Revival Electric Bicycle by Brian Kenneth Høhl Velo Solex Revival is an electric bicycle based on the original Solex gasoline moped introduced in 1949. The frame geometry and the frame shape follow the 1949 original, while the frame has been adapted to hold an electric motor and a battery. Modern materials are used, including aluminium, carbon and steel. Light materials such as carbon and kevlar help keep the weight low, which suits the light and sporty character of the bicycle. The vehicle measures 180 cm by 55 cm by 95 cm and weighs 25 kilograms. The design was developed with insights collected from 500 consumers.
