Courtyard Public Space

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Courtyard Public Space by Kris Lin Courtyard is a public space designed for the lobby and foyer of a residential development in central Shenyang, China. The space covers 600 square meters and forms the main route used by residents on the way home. The design concept is based on the three-entry home of traditional Chinese architecture, arranged as an outer court, an inner courtyard and an inner house. An installation named Bamboo Sound marks the lobby and gallery. A water promenade with a bridge, a pool, a gable, a tea room and plum blossom shapes the courtyard scene.
