Pride Shrike Mascot Design

Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Pride Shrike Mascot Design by Meng Chih Chiang Pride Shrike is a mascot designed for a national high school athletic event held in Pingtung, Taiwan. The mascot is based on the brown shrike, the official bird of Pingtung County, chosen in place of the monkey figures long associated with the city. Ornithologists were consulted so that the black eye mask, the reddish upper body and the white-tipped tail are shown accurately. The mascot was drawn in both graphic and three-dimensional form and was adapted into animated stickers for a widely used messaging application. The aim is to promote sport and the host region.
