Mad Monk Bar Bar

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Mad Monk Bar Bar by Tomoo Nitta Mad Monk is a bar interior located in Tokyo. The design was inspired by Ji Gong, a monk known for his love of travel and alcohol. Glossy black walls reflect the surroundings and create a sense of continuity. The shelves are supported by bottles of Japanese sake, and no metal joints are used. Lighting fixtures are embedded in the shelves, which are 18 mm thick, so the bottles are lit from below. The faint light inside the bottles illuminates spirits from around the world. The interior area is 117.4 square meters.
