Pixel Residential Building

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Pixel Residential Building by The Grid Architects Pixelhouse is a residential building designed as the home of an extended family in Ahmedabad, India. The design balances the need for privacy with shared family life across three floors. Offsets and stacked volumes create a stepped form with sheltered balconies and planted terraces that also serve as outdoor gathering areas. A central atrium staircase is lit by a skylight, and every bathroom receives daylight from above. Wood, stone, exposed brick and concrete provide thermal mass, while rainwater harvesting, solar panels and double glazing reduce energy use.
