An open frame allows an attached camera to rotate well beyond 90 degrees in both directions, giving quick changes between landscape and portrait orientations without bulky L-brackets. The ball has a hollow core with holes that reduce weight while maintaining strength. An adjustable lever clamp holds a wide range of camera plates, a friction control sets the drag, and a panning lock permits full rotation for panoramic photographs. Aspen is machined from hard anodized aluminum.
