Interior Space and Exhibition Design Island Hair Salon by Jacksam Yang Island is a hair salon set inside a forty-year-old house of 165 square meters. The renovation avoids elaborate decoration. Recycled decorative logs replace interior walls and act as divider screens, creating a see-through effect, a brighter room and a simple, clear flow. Abundant green foliage and climbing plants fill the space. A gravity-powered watering system based on siphon theory replaces mechanical irrigation, filling eleven tanks evenly and adding the sound of dripping water. The design brings natural elements into an urban setting.
