Ethereal Hair Salon

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Ethereal Hair Salon by Jacksam Yang Ethereal is a hair salon interior located in Taipei. The space covers 133 square meters. Wood is used as the main material, and its solid character is combined with surrounding textures. From a distance the interior looks like an installation artwork, while closer viewing reveals detailed craft work. Woodcraft elements and textures are rearranged to move away from the traditional image of a commercial hair salon. Curved and linear forms, ink-like gradations and natural scents create a calm atmosphere. The design is intended as an urban retreat where visitors can relax.
