Architecture, Building and Structure Design JF Modern Shopping Mall by LnP Architects Yinchuan Jianfa Modern City is a shopping mall renovation in Yinchuan, China. The project updates a commercial building that has operated for ten years, following the concept of urban regeneration. The facade is formed with aluminum plates in a hyperboloid shape, inspired by pyramid forms shaped by wind and sand. Low emissivity glass is used to improve energy efficiency. A vertical facade system follows the rhythm of the original structure. A courtyard, a skylight and a roof garden guide pedestrian flow from the main street to the upper level.
