The Tree Restaurant

Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Tree Restaurant by HELI DESIGN OFFICE The Tree is a restaurant interior located in a shopping mall in Shenyang, China, covering 380 square meters. The ceiling is formed into a cloud sea made of pure white glass fibers, which appears undulating and soft. A large tree stands at the center of the space, and dozens of plants divide the functions and guide the walking route. Lighting simulates natural light so that the plants receive enough energy in a cold northern climate. A mirror at the meeting of ceiling and wall extends the cloud surface. Materials include a herringbone floor, fireproof membrane and granitic plaster.
