Turquerie Womenswear Collection

Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design Turquerie Womenswear Collection by Catalina Paladi Turquerie is a womenswear collection inspired by the visual culture of the Ottoman Empire. The collection is composed of six silhouettes and ten custom made pieces, in sizes extra small to medium. Luxury materials such as jacquard, velvet and chiffon create colour contrast and fluidity, enriching simple shapes and clean modern lines. Layered fabrics of different density and opacity, together with stylized sleeves and ruffles, give the garments a sense of movement. Many stitches are sewn by hand, as the fabrics are delicate.
