Architecture, Building and Structure Design Interpolation Art Gallery by ChungYeon Won Interpolation is an art gallery designed within Seokchon Lake Park in Seoul. The park contains a lake and two separate ring paths, one inner and one outer, divided by a four meter difference in elevation. The gallery forms an organic passage that links the two paths and creates a new gateway into the park. The building mass is clad in curved aluminum panels, and the deck that meets the landscape is finished in exposed concrete. Ground source heat pumps and roof photovoltaic panels reduce energy use. The intent is to bring art into daily life.
