Architecture, Building and Structure Design Jiande Aviation Training Base by gad Zhejiang Jiande Aviation is an aviation training base located in the aviation town of Jiande, China. The campus brings together teaching, catering, office and hotel functions. Three groups of buildings enclose courtyards of different sizes, linked by a raised green mound in the centre. Overhead corridors run through the park and connect the functional areas, giving shelter from sun and rain. Aluminium sheets and elastic coatings form the facades, and permeable concrete paves the outdoor paths. The natural terrain is retained rather than flattened.
