Interior Space and Exhibition Design Furniture Pavilion S Showroom by Zuoqian Wang, Dan He Furniture Pavilion S is a temporary furniture showroom designed for a trade fair in Shanghai. The pavilion covers 150 square metres and is built from 821 pieces of prefabricated standard size plywood, which allow assembly or disassembly on site within 48 hours. Steel forms the rest of the structure, and the hyperboloid roof is covered with semi-transparent tensile fabric that spreads sunlight evenly. Stacked modular plywood units also serve as display coves. After the exhibition, the pavilion was transformed into 410 sets of tables and chairs for a nearby community.
