Interior Space and Exhibition Design Glass Core Lobby by Kris Lin Glass Core is a reception lobby designed for a community building in Jiaxing, China. The lobby is reached by an elevator that rises through an atrium of 18 meters in height. The elevator shaft is built with a steel structure that supports glass panels combined with LED lights, so the volume glows and marks the entrance of the building. The translucent glass is inlaid with metal, giving a texture similar to white jade with a gold rim. A rectangular staircase is placed around the elevator, so visitors can move by stairs or by elevator. The total area is 1000 square meters.
