Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Kuss Acoustic Panels by Estere Savicka Kuss is a collection of sound absorption panels designed to reduce excessive noise in homes, open offices and other public spaces. The panels are made of an ecological and non-toxic composite. Organic-rich lake sediments, known as sapropel, are used as the binder and mixed with natural fibres. Each panel measures 500 by 720 millimetres and is 30 millimetres thick. Panels are joined into sets and hung from the top and bottom, so walls are not damaged by glue or drill holes. The extraction of sapropel also improves the quality of freshwater resources and lake ecosystems.
