Interior Space and Exhibition Design 24 Frames of Lightwell Rebirth Experiential Retail Store by Jasmin Yi-Chu Shih and Lightwell 24 Frames of Lightwell is an experiential retail store in a renovated 50-year-old building in Taipei, covering 353 square meters. Commerce, fashion, art and nature are brought together in one space. A subtractive design approach limits the environmental impact of the renovation. Existing materials are reinterpreted to highlight the texture of the old building. Modern terrazzo panels are used in the select shop, and the original terrazzo staircase is restored. A lightweight treatment of the lightwell and facade creates 24 frames that shape the interior and how visitors sense the surroundings.
