Architecture, Building and Structure Design Aurotek Technology Factory by Peng Architects Inc. Aurotek Technology is a factory building located in Kunshan, Jiangsu, China. The 10344 square meter plant houses a mechanical assembly workshop, a clean room and supporting offices. The exterior is built from locally produced concrete hollow bricks and glass, arranged to form a breathable skin that provides natural lighting and self-shading. Buoyant ventilation windows increase natural air convection, and a green atrium moderates the indoor microclimate. Computational fluid dynamics was used to study ventilation. The design follows the three-star Chinese green building standard.
