Sepanta Multifunctional Hall

Amin Naimi

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Sepanta Multifunctional Hall by Amin Naimi Sepanta is a multifunctional hall designed for music, theater and opera on Kish Island. The form is inspired by the shells of the turtles that nest along the nearby coast. A smooth wavy surface recalls ocean waves and is made of glass fibre reinforced concrete. The suspended curved ceiling is built with space structures and rests over a glass curtain wall that opens the interior to the sea view. Triple glazing and a three layer ceiling reduce energy loss. The hall covers nearly 6000 square meters and seats about 1350 people.
