Dongguan CBD Parking Building Garage

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Dongguan CBD Parking Building Garage by Guowei Zhang Dongguan Garage Building is a multi-storey parking structure in Dongguan, China. The design is inspired by the meandering water bodies of the city and by the central location of the site. Two major streets are extended as flowing ribbons that spiral upward and intertwine, forming an image similar to an urban sculpture. A white ribbon facade made of glass fibre reinforced concrete wraps the volume. A spiral ramp with sloping floors raises parking efficiency, and a central atrium improves natural ventilation. The aim is to reform disordered parking conditions nearby.
