Interior Space and Exhibition Design Bowl Fantasy Cantonese Tong Sui Dessert Store by Manuel Lap Yan Lam Bowl Fantasy is the interior design of a modern Cantonese tong sui store that serves sweet soup as a dessert. The soup bowl, the symbol of the brand, is the main design theme. Bowl forms are split, folded, stacked and regrouped to create a three-dimensional screen, a layered ceiling and large chandeliers. About eighty percent of the design is produced with off-site laser cutting, which reduces cost, construction time and on-site labor. The result is a dessert store where one everyday object shapes every main spatial element.
