Landscape Planning and Garden Design Circle Origin Source Public Art by Maolin National Scenic Area Circle Origin Source is a public artwork located in the Rinari tribal area in Taiwan. The work covers about 16 square meters and includes plaza floor art, a decorated railing beside the parking lot and two columns at the entrance of the visitor center. Layered concentric circles carry totem patterns based on Paiwan culture. Stone, copper, stainless steel, brass and brick are combined so that the work lasts. The design honors the three tribes that rebuilt their homes after the 2009 storm and gives the community a shared place for gathering and ceremonies.
