The Satori Harbor Library

Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Satori Harbor Library by Sha Li The Satori Harbor is a library located inside a corporate headquarters in Guangzhou. The library is arranged as an abstract harbor city where readers can wander among books. A gallery displays paintings collected from many countries, placed without hierarchy. A circular window at the end of a corridor frames a small view of the city. A boat form is built with steel framing and coated with stucco. Printed fabric screens show facades of old buildings near the Guangzhou harbor. Walls and floors are finished in stucco, and the curved steps use beige terrazzo.
