Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Interplay of Light and Shadows Interior Design by Chen Chia Yu The Interplay of Light and Shadows is a residential interior design in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The ancient philosophy of I-Ching is applied within a modern and minimalist home of 112.4 square meters. A black and white color scheme represents the harmony of yin and yang. Linear transitions symbolize constant change and create visual layers. Hexagrams representing Heaven, Earth, Family and Advancement are integrated into the large bookcase and the balcony wall. Light and shadow interact in the same balanced manner, so the home reflects the philosophy of life followed by the owner.
