The Eclipse Residential Apartment

Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Eclipse Residential Apartment by Carina Lin The Eclipse is a residential apartment interior design in Hsinchu, Taiwan, covering 82 square meters. The design follows the Japanese Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, based on imperfection, asymmetry and simplicity. Mineral painting is applied across the whole space and forms irregular, three dimensional surfaces. Natural ochre tones and oriental oak flooring define the living room. The curved ceiling recalls clouds and eclipses, and light passes through its seams. Furniture is made from recycled wood to reduce tree cutting.
