Jewelry Design Orbit A Collection Jewelry by Suyu Chen Orbit A Collection is a series of handcrafted jewelry that includes a brooch and two necklaces. Each piece is one of a kind and combines sterling silver with plastic tubes, resin clay and paint. The same plastic component is repeated as a basic module to create varied wearable and sculptural forms. Traditional metalsmithing methods such as soldering, forming and chain making are used, together with plastic welding, sanding and coloring. The collection reflects the relationship between traditional craft and modern mass production.
