Architecture, Building and Structure Design Expo Village Plot B Residential by Shanghai Huayuan Industrial Co., Ltd. Expo Village Plot B is a residential development on the east bank of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. The buildings are arranged around the plot, with six eight-storey blocks along the river to the west and taller blocks of 19 to 22 floors to the east, forming a stepped skyline. The existing urban fabrics and facades of the Shanghai Expo Village are retained. Glass and aluminium panels form modular facades with a light visual effect. Balconies bring in sunlight, fresh air and river views. Planting covers 35 per cent of the site, creating a garden-like community.
