High Hopes Residential Villa

Mahyar Arab BourBour

Architecture, Building and Structure Design High Hopes Residential Villa by Mahyar Arab BourBour High Hopes is a residential villa built on a hillside in Chadegan, Isfahan, Iran. The design expresses three times: past, present and future. The plan follows lines drawn from the Zayandeh River, while the volume joins a mountain form with an Iranian arch. Algorithmic methods were used to respond to sun, wind, rain, snow and slope. Canopies, tall windows and a glass atrium bring daylight inside and support natural ventilation. Brick, concrete, ICF blocks and mineral coatings reduce energy use by up to 70 percent and improve earthquake resistance.
