Interior Space and Exhibition Design Poro City Exhibition by Chieh-Ting Chuang Poro City is an exhibition design built from milk crates. The crates form a brick-like system that is neither transparent nor solid, holding the exhibition without a rigid boundary. Undulating porous walls frame views and recall the breeze block surfaces found in Los Angeles. The modular kit of parts is fast to assemble and can adapt to different indoor and outdoor sites. The installation uses 1100 crates of 33 cm by 33 cm by 28 cm within a 200 square meter gallery. Bright colors transform a familiar utilitarian object into a welcoming space.
