Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Dress Pottery Furniture Collection by Masahiro Kito Dress is a pottery furniture collection that is also shown as an art installation. The collection presents hanging cloth in porcelain, forming a momentary space that appears to defy gravity. Glass cloth is soaked in clay slurry and fired in layers at 1150 degrees Celsius for one day, which adds strength while keeping the material light. Sand supports the shape during firing. Chairs, tables and lighting fixtures have been developed in the collection. The porcelain also transmits light, so the pieces suit use as lamps.
