House in Niigata Residential Building

Architecture, Building and Structure Design House in Niigata Residential Building by Kazunori Kiryu House in Niigata is a private house designed for a family of four in an old and densely built residential area. The outer walls are made of wooden material lightly colored in gray, so the building harmonizes with the surrounding streets. The plan is organized around two gardens. A courtyard enclosed by a concrete wall is placed on the ground floor, and a roof terrace framed by a wooden lattice is placed on the second floor. All rooms face these two gardens, so screening such as curtains is not needed. Traditional wooden construction was used.
