Mobile Technologies, Applications and Software Design Gatorade GX Patch and APP Mobile Application by PepsiCo Design and Innovation Gx is a personalized hydration system formed by a mobile application, a sweat patch and a reusable bottle. The Gx sweat patch sticks to the forearm and collects sweat during one high-intensity workout to track fluid and sodium loss. The Gx App scans the patch and builds a sweat profile. From the sweat profile, the app recommends hydration and fueling strategies for the next workout. Nine Gx pod formulas with different levels of carbohydrates and electrolytes are suggested to the user. The pods use less plastic than fully diluted, non-refillable drinks.
