Kylie Residential House

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Kylie Residential House by Gronych + Dollega Architekten Kylie is a residential house located on the outskirts of a city near the countryside. Like a sunflower, the building rotates with the course of the sun. In winter, solar gains reduce the heating demand, while in summer turning into the shade prevents overheating. Kylie was built as a prefabricated timber frame structure, with oak used for the terrace decking, furniture, wall cladding and parquet flooring. Heating is provided by a groundwater heat pump, and a photovoltaic system on the roof generates electricity. Overall, the house produces more energy than it consumes.
