Citystars Heliopolis Retail Architecture

Geoffrey Morrison

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Citystars Heliopolis Retail Architecture by Geoffrey Morrison Citystars Heliopolis is a mixed-use retail complex in Egypt, first opened in 2004. The complex is under renovation, with a gross floor area of 250,000 square meters. The renovation covers architecture, interiors, lighting, wayfinding, landscape and sustainability within one integrated approach. Eight levels extend across a city block. The curved form refers to the flow of the Nile. Four atriums, named Orion, Eclipse, Solaris and Starport, shape the interior. Shade structures, a lake, trees and planting help to cool the site.
