Architecture, Building and Structure Design Device of Perception Cultural Center by Yuting Zhang Device of Perception is a cultural center in Mexico City, set between a low rise historic quarter and a high rise commercial development. The center covers about 4500 square meters and holds a lecture hall, a small theater, exhibition space, offices, storage and a cafe. A sunken entrance plaza separates the building from the busy avenue and serves as an extension of the interior stage. Each floor of the short tower is twisted a quarter turn, forming a spiral public gallery with framed views of the city. Reinforced concrete and weathering steel are used.
