The swimming pool sits in a sheltered rear patio with a microclimate suitable for mid-season, so the front lawn stays open. A central shaft brings light and air to the basement rooms. Walls are 53 centimeters thick with 16 centimeters of insulation, and a heat pump serves underfloor heating and cooling. The flat roof simplifies maintenance.
