Fresh scans supermarket shopping lists to record purchased food, and users can add the items to a virtual refrigerator page. The application tracks the shelf life of each item and marks products with green, yellow and red prompt boxes according to the remaining freshness. Reminders help users consume food before it spoils. Fresh also provides weekly food waste reports and cumulative statistics that encourage sustainable consumption. The application is available for iOS and Android.
