Defy Communicative Visual Book

Print and Published Media Design Defy Communicative Visual Book by Liao Jin-Zhi Defy is a book cover design created for a published title about anarchism. A pair of glasses forms the main visual element and is coated with spot varnish to make the texture look more realistic. The cover and the belly band show common objects that people in Taiwan often use to build barricades, such as traffic cones, barrels and benches. Industrial packaging paper is used as the printing material. The color scheme of red, black and white suggests rebellion and revolution. The familiar objects link an abstract idea to daily life.
