Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Gradual Change of the Circle Sculpture by Ying Hsi Liao Gradual Change of the Circle is a sculpture inspired by the evolution of life on earth. The work is mainly made of stainless steel, and titanium plating gives golden and silver tones with a technological look. The rounded form recalls a mother's face and also suggests seeds, buds and shells. Lines along the outer arc resemble waves on a beach. The inner concave surface reflects the view of the sky. The form was first shaped by computer, then completed by hand. Pre-production models were 3D printed with recyclable materials to reduce waste.
