Renewal of Lu Xun's Hometown Historical and Cultural Block

Urban Planning and Urban Design Renewal of Lu Xun's Hometown Historical and Cultural Block by ZUP Renewal of Lu Xun's Hometown is an urban design project for a historical and cultural block in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. The plan restores waterways for black awning boats, along with historical streets and alleys, bridges and old place names. The design is inspired by the texture of traditional Chinese waterfront towns. Restored buildings retell stories drawn from novels by the writer Lu Xun. The plan also protects the interests of local residents, supports social equity and preserves the local lifestyle.
