Shwood Desk Lamp

Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Shwood Desk Lamp by Joakim Rydén Shwood is a desk lamp made of beech wood. The lamp is operated by touching the wooden surface and sliding the inner pillar through the outer structure. The movement creates the soft sound of solid wood pieces sliding against each other. Raising the pillar turns on the light, and a small hook on the back holds the pillar in place. The lamp is 25 cm high when closed and 40 cm when fully raised, with a width and depth of 7 cm. The electrical parts of the LED light source are hidden inside. The intent is to present wood craftsmanship and a calming sensation.
