U Shaped Residential House

Architecture, Building and Structure Design U Shaped Residential House by Yusuke Tanaka U Shaped is a residential house built in Tottori, Japan in 2020. The parts facing the road are closed as walls, and the windows there are placed in a high position to block views from outside. The living room sits at the center of the plan, with an open ceiling and a large glass wall that opens to a courtyard. The kitchen, dining room, bedroom and children's room are arranged around the living room, so family members can sense each other. The exterior combines wood, tiles and plastered surfaces. The wooden structure follows a passive design with improved insulation.
