Monmono Yellow Restaurant and Gallery

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Monmono Yellow Restaurant and Gallery by Alvan Suen Monmono Yellow is a restaurant and gallery located in Central, Hong Kong. The interior is finished entirely in yellow and gold, forming a single-color volume inserted into the busy city. Arches, curved forms and a stair art installation shape the space. Mirrors extend the staircases visually and create the illusion of a tall atrium. Most construction elements were prefabricated and then installed on site, while the terrazzo tables were custom made to match the color tone. The design also serves as a platform for monochrome artworks by local artists.
