Kirin Island Exhibition Center

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Kirin Island Exhibition Center by Zhubo Design Kirin Island is an exhibition center in Jining, Shandong Province, China. The building forms the first phase of an industrial park. The center is used for planning exhibitions and investment promotion in the early stage, and will later become an urban exhibition hall linked to the surrounding public space. The design follows the idea of a round sky and a square earth, so a square building holds a round courtyard. A frame-shear wall structure with a span of 18.6 metres creates indoor space without pillars. Overhangs of 10.3 metres on the north and south sides form semi-outdoor areas.
