Hangar Renovation Museum

Piotr Pyrtek

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Hangar Renovation Museum by Piotr Pyrtek Hangar Renovation is a museum interior created inside a historic aircraft hangar. The museum presents engineering and technology, and the space also hosts events and performances. The new interior elements follow an industrial style linked to the original use of the hangar. A mezzanine with an open lattice structure is raised three metres above the floor. The mezzanine is set away from the exterior walls to preserve the original building. Steel, brick, concrete and wood are used. The old heating stoves and their installation are restored and shown to visitors.
