Architecture, Building and Structure Design Orchard Stone House Residence by Rado Iliev Orchard Stone House is a residence built as temporary accommodation for workers on a fruit orchard in eastern Bulgaria. The house provides living areas and work space within a setting of natural beauty. Long distance views reach the Stara Planina Mountain to the north, while a lake to the east is home to many wild birds. A large orchard lies to the southwest. The design follows the structure of a nut, with a robust pair of stone walls enclosing the interior. The concrete structure is faced with stone quarried on the site. The habitable area covers 300 square meters.
