Resolution Lounge Chair

Furniture Design Resolution Lounge Chair by Shaobo Liu Resolution is a lounge chair designed to be light in weight and simple in form. The chair is made mainly of cardboard, with foam, packing peanuts and tape. Despite the light structure, Resolution can support a person weighing at least 200 pounds. The shape was first modelled in clay, then scanned and refined with three-dimensional software. Flat parts were cut with a computer-controlled milling machine and assembled by hand. The low weight allows the chair to be carried and placed in many spaces, and the minimal form suits varied interiors.
