Trip of Tea Illustrations

Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Trip of Tea Illustrations by Wu Yao Trip of Tea is a pair of illustrations created for a Chinese tea company. The two works are inspired by two historic tea transport routes, the Tea Road of Ten Thousand Miles and the Maritime Silk Road. A horse taken from the client logo appears as a messenger along each route. The form of each horse and the pattern on its saddle change to reflect the features of the destination city or region. Tea drinking scenes from different countries are included. The illustrations are hand drawn on a tablet and unfolded as a tiled reel that suits posters, postcards and other uses.
