Interweave Cabinet

Furniture Design Interweave Cabinet by Yu-Ching Chen Interweave is a display cabinet designed for living rooms and lobbies. The cabinet is composed of intersecting wooden strips set at different angles, forming a grid that acts as a semi-transparent barrier. Two woods are used, walnut and beech hardwood, so the crossing lines differ in color and add a sense of depth. Traditional mortise and tenon joints connect every strip, leaving a smooth surface without pegs or screws. Items placed inside can be glimpsed through the grid, creating a discreet display method. The cabinet measures 1450 by 700 by 500 millimeters.
